During the Nutrition Month, POSHAN MAAH September 2020, India Food Banking Network has doubled the quantum of its food assistance to families in need for greater impact during COVID-19 pandemic.
In collaboration with Sodexo and Stop Hunger, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of 5325 vulnerable families by providing them with 80,000 kg of non-perishable staples. Together we are ensuring that they have enough food to eat and remain healthy.

Daily Wagers build our homes and run our cities. But during the Covid 19 outbreak, they are in great distress due to loss of livelihoods and have been struggling to feed their families. India Food banking Network is reaching out to them with Ration Kits to help them tide over the food crisis. We continue to help these vulnerable families to rebuild their lives and are actively seeking support from individuals and organizations with monetary donations for rations (raw food materials) and packaged products.

As soon as the lockdown was announced on 22nd March 2020, India Food Banking Network pivoted to provide Emergency Food Assistance. Along with our partners we started the immediate distribution of ration kits comprising of essential staples to those in need with the support of the local administration and police.

Punchy protein Masala Madness puffs made from corn, amaranth, jowar, rice and seasonings were shared by The Mumum Company. IFBN distributed 5113 bags of 20gms / 60 gms in Mumbai.
